• Hot topics:
  • Prepare setup for xRIDGE (Lia)
  • CVMFS plugin development (Nikita)
  • Full MDC Dataset for ETAP on Louvain and/or PIC RSEs (Andres)
  • Multi-RI implementations:
    •  PR to Rucio (client side), not included in 39.1 in January (Matti)
      •  Test it and provide instructions for ETAP people
    • PR to Rucio (server side), merge conflicts (Matti)
      • Upgrade both CE and ET Rucio servers with multi-RI implementation and test it.  (Lia, Nikita)

 

• From last week:
  • Test oidc-agent instructions by Andres (anybody?) -> done by Matti, in progress by Nikita 
  • Change Louvain hostname in RSEs of both CE and ET Rucio servers (Lia, Nikita)
  • before custom policy package in CE server (Nikita) and remove Andres admin rights, fix issue with Andres not being able to write to CE RSE in Turin
  • once Rucio servers 38 and 39 are deployed, Andres will prepare a new image with the corresponding rucio client

 

• Miscellaneous:
  

  • participate in ESCAPE/WLCG Data Challenge in February - meeting with ESCAPE DIOS WG on Friday, December 5th at 16:00 CET
  • join Rucio group of interest on hierarchical file structure: not yet created (Nikita to follow up on this)
  • 2nd OSCARS Annual General Meeting - 11-12 March, 2026 - Seville, Spain https://indico.in2p3.fr/event/37069/overview (maybe Nikita)
  • CHEP abstract submitted
  • follow up with ETAP and OSB about needs for MDC (new joint coordination by EIB-OSB div 10?)
  • WP3 multi-RI metadata queries: Discuss with Paul for HSF cond DB, and with Valentin for Rucio metadata

2 MADDEN status report

LIA: upgrade to rucio 38 (for xRIDGE)

• I am currently working on the et-rucio-server old machine, the plan is to have it working here and then move it to the new machine
• I managed to have version 38.5.1 working
• I modified the scripts to set rses, accounts and so on on the new version
• I am trying to import the database. Question: can I import a database from one server to another? I get an error...
  2026-01-26 21:38:55,823 ERROR Database exception.
  Details: (psycopg2.OperationalError) server closed the connection unexpectedly
  This probably means the server terminated abnormally
  before or while processing the request.
