    • Andres is simplifying instructions on https://gitlab.et-gw.eu/eib/div1/oscars/madden/et-rucio-client to avoid duplication with https://github.com/vre-hub/partner-communities/tree/main/ET/containers/rucio-client. -> further simplification agreed with Andres that will take care of this
    • Documentation requested by Paul on how to install/configure/use rucio client: Matti/Andres will ask Paul if what we have in the repositories mentioned above is enough.
  • Prepare setup for xRIDGE (Lia): 
    • PIC, ok for Lia with tokens and x509. To add more users, we need to define groups on IAM.
    • FTS is setup. xRIDGE on-going General Google doc
  • CVMFS plugin development (Nikita, Matti):
    • Andrij sent some documentation. Nikita tested the pipeline, will follow up with Andrij. There are two ways to publish, one with ingestsql and the regular one.
    • Matti starting to check rucioFS - good progress with cache implementation but very slow - Matti will try to understand why
  • Multi-RI implementations:
    •  PR approved (fix client side), rebase due to coding style (Matti) waiting for review
      •  Test it and provide instructions for ETAP people
    • PR to Rucio (server side), Matti created a new issue, waiting for review
      • Upgrade both CE and ET Rucio servers with multi-RI implementation and test it.  (Lia, Nikita)

 

• From last week:
  • Test oidc-agent instructions by Andres (anybody?) -> done by Matti, Andres, should be tested by Nikita
  • Custom policy package in CE server was added. Now need to remove admin rights for everyone (issue).
  • once Rucio servers 38 and 39 are deployed, Andres will prepare a new image with the corresponding rucio client

 

• Miscellaneous:
  

  • participate in ESCAPE/WLCG xRIDGE Data Challenge in March
  • join Rucio group of interest on hierarchical file structure: not yet created (Nikita to follow up on this)
  • CHEP abstract submitted
  • follow up with ETAP and OSB about needs for MDC (new joint coordination by EIB-OSB div 10?)
  • WP3 multi-RI metadata queries: Discuss with Paul for HSF cond DB, and with Valentin for Rucio metadata
  • Report on MADDEN at the LVK week (Nikita)

LIA:

• Rucio 38 in production, but still need to remove the lost-RSEs hacking the DB
• working on the policy package for "rule update"
• xRIDGE setup: we can use the production instance
• PIC RSE is available, see issue. For xRIDGE it is fine, but we will need to setup groups.
• still need to setup the FTS transfer (mail by Giovanni to CERN guys)
• we need to fill the "xRIDGE goal" document
