  • Hot topics:
    • CVMFS plugin development (Nikita): working on setting up a Rucio daemon that checks modifications on DIDs 
    • RucioFS (Matti): working on oidc-authentication (handle corner cases) and distribute with documentation
    • Nikita to come up with ideas to automatically test ET and CE Rucio servers: working on getting tokens in an automatic way (oidc-agent or credential flow as in the daemons) 
    • Discussion about OIDC tokens/scopes/groups. Andres will come up with some proposal to discuss with Gary (ET-IAM manager)
      • WLCG uses scopes to define access to storage, for example storage.read. Groups are used to give authorization to specific paths and this is configured at the RSE level.
      • We currently use only groups. 
      • IGWN uses also scopes with paths like /igwn/virgo, the authorization part is done by IAM. Users get a token with the full path and the authorization r/w. For Virgo both Louvain and CNAF are using the IGWN way

    • Multi-RI implementations:
      •  PR merged (fix client side), already available in Rucio official release? (Matti) 
        •  Andres will prepare a new image with the corresponding rucio client?
      • PR to Rucio (server side), Matti: I have written the python code but need a database to generate migrations scripts and test them.
        • Once this PR is merged, we will upgrade both CE and ET Rucio servers with multi-RI implementation and test it.  (Lia, Nikita)
      • Issue to Rucio about authentication only with ET IAM for et-reader (Andres). This will allow Nikita to remove the CE client from indigo IAM

  • Miscellaneous:

    • Lia sent an abstract to the ET symposium 
    • join Rucio group of interest on hierarchical file structure: not yet created (Nikita to follow up on this)
    • CHEP abstract accepted
    • follow up with ETAP and OSB about needs for MDC (new joint coordination by EIB-OSB div 10?)
    • WP3 multi-RI metadata queries: Discuss with Paul for HSF cond DB, and with Valentin for Rucio metadata
