This meeting is part of the ET Symposium 2026 in Aachen.

All those interested in working with Finesse version 3 are welcome to join us from 9.00-12.00 on Monday, 15th June in Aachen.

The Workshop will be held in the same main building as the ET Symposium, and include

• introductory presentations
• a hands-on session 
• in-person help to those who want to try out Finesse 3

 

This is an in-person workshop and we do not plan for online participation. More events, some of which online, will be scheduled later this year.

Finesse is an interferometer simulation software for designing and commissioning laser interferometers. After more than eight years of development, we will finally be ready to formally release Finesse version 3.0 to everyone during the ET Symposium. 

This pre-Symposium Workshop is the first in a series of activities we’re planning to celebrate the launch and help people to get started with the new version – so keep an eye out for other events too (e.g. we’re thinking of a similar activity at a Virgo week later this year).
