Description
Laser interferometric GW detectors are delicate and complex systems in general, and strong external shocks like earthquakes easily damage them. Moreover, keeping facilities safe is a very important issue for underground experiments. For example, the Noto earthquake on January 1st, 2024, damaged KAGRA, and it took a long time and manpower to recover its hardware and control. In this talk, I will report on them as a lesson for designing ET's facility and detector.
