OSCARS meeting (MADDEN+ETAP)

Europe/Rome

Actions items:

  • organise projects/group in ET gitlab -> promote labels to OSCARS (Paul), create specific labels for cross-dependency -> waiting for Paul
  • We need a presentation for the Bologna workshop, MADDEN + ETAP, discuss next week with Paul what he will present
  • On-going:
    • Lia reports an issue about rights for writing in Rucio. Andres cannot write becase his rucio account is for "users" and users can only write in their own scope (rucio default)
      • can be fixed by giving Andres rucio admin rights
      • on the long term, we need to implement "publisher" role, as in Virgo, which is a user that can write in all scopes, but is not a full admin
    • RSE@PIC - issue
      • asked Gonzalo for 20 TB (Andres), sent list of DNs to be authorised, waiting for PIC
    • token authentication (Lia) -  issue
      • rucio whoami works
      • working on authorization on xrootd with tokens
      • Andres will share his configuration for tokens in UCLouvain
    • Set up CE rucio server (Nikita) - issue
    • Distribuite rucio client (Nikita) - issue
      • issue with uploading to registry on ET Gitlab.
        • Gary was contacted but the ET gitlab instance does not allow upload images.
        • Upload on dockerhub not good because of the limitation on number of pulls
      • cvmfs for ET not yet available. Ask StefanoB
  • Not started
    • get familiar with Rucio and understand multi-RI authentication (Matti) - issue
      • Matti busy, Paul will send intro email
    • investigate about RucioFS (Federica, Paul)
      • Paul will check with the Rucio guys at WLCG workshop
      • ask Stefano/Franco/Duncan why CVMFS did not work for Virgo
      • do we need POSIX view at all?
      • Ask Martin/CVMFS guys/Brina is a good idea to have rucio plugin for CVMFS
