The workshop will take place at the Department of Physics, Sapienza University of Rome.

The Department is located within the Sapienza University campus in the Piazzale Aldo Moro area, at short distance from Roma Termini railway station.

From Fiumicino Airport (FCO)

By public transport
The easiest option is the Leonardo Express, the direct train connecting Fiumicino Airport to Roma Termini. The journey takes about 30 minutes. From Termini, participants can either walk to the Department of Physics in about 15 minutes, or take a short taxi ride.

By taxi
Taxis are available at the official taxi ranks outside the airport terminals. Travel time depends on traffic, but the journey to Sapienza is usually around 40 to 50 minutes.

 

From Ciampino Airport (CIA)

By public transport
A convenient option is the bus connection from the airport to Ciampino railway station, followed by a regional train to Roma Termini. From Termini, the Department can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes, or by a short taxi ride.

An alternative is the direct airport bus service to Roma Termini, followed by the same final transfer to Sapienza.

By taxi
Official taxis are available outside the arrivals area. Depending on traffic, the ride to the Department of Physics usually takes around 30 to 40 minutes.

 

From Roma Termini Railway Station

On foot
The Department of Physics, Sapienza University of Rome, can be reached from Roma Termini in about 15 minutes on foot.

By public transport
Several local bus and tram lines connect the Termini area with the Sapienza campus. Participants may choose public transport if preferred, although walking is often the simplest option.

By taxi
A taxi from Termini to the Department is very short and usually takes only a few minutes, depending on traffic.

Taxi and Practical Advice

Participants are strongly advised to use only official white taxis from designated taxi ranks at the airports and railway stations.

For those arriving in Rome by air, the most straightforward public transport option is usually to reach Roma Termini first and continue from there to the Department of Physics.

Because traffic in Rome can be heavy, travel times by taxi may vary significantly, especially during peak hours.
