Description
We investigate equilibrium configurations of neutron stars within scalar–tensor theories of gravity with a massive scalar field. The presence of a non-zero scalar field mass yields some observationally relevant implications, primarily due to the substantial increase in the range of permitted coupling parameters. We examine the impact of the spontaneous scalarization of neutron star on measurable quantities where the deviations from General Relativity can become substantial while remaining consistent with observational constraints.
