Description

Several geophysical survey campaigns were conducted to investigate the subsurface in order to map and characterize potential stratigraphic boundaries and fault zones. These primarily included seismic surveys, but also surveys using electrical resistivity tomography. The primary focus here is on the near-surface area. In this presentation, we would like to introduce these methods and demonstrate what can be directly determined from the results. We will also address the challenges involved and how they affect resolution and interpretability. Nevertheless, we aim to demonstrate how the insights gained from these campaigns can be used to improve the survey design for future campaigns. Additionally, there are opportunities to further utilize the measurement data to obtain additional information about the properties of the subsurface.
